Had a pass side rear axle leak.
Went to tear into the rear end and discovered the cross shaft lock pin was sheared below the threads and no way to get it out. I tried everything to no avail.
Did a search on the sites and discovered the kit just for this by Matco so I ordered it.

It worked great and the bearing and seal is now changed I would have had to take drastic matters otherwise.

yea, i had a old rear axle out of the car and was salvaging the posi, ring, and pinion. bolt broke with one thread left in the hole. i was lucky enough that i got it out spining it with a test light! if that bolt breaks, i remember hearing somewhere that to get it out its either drill the bolt or... break the case:eek:

They have good stuff........................Just don't try to be a distributor for them:mad:

I have one at work and at home. Well worth it. that is a great kit. when they first came out with that i thought the guy was nuts. Then i used it .Awesome

Ive had this problem before and had no idea there was a kit available. I used a sharp scribe and backed out the broken piece of bolt. It took me 45 minutes to get the piece out. I wish i had one of those kits.
