Metco Control Arm Question

I have a 87 GN that I put a Ford 9" rear under and now cant get the stabilizer bar to fit. The metco lowers have staggered holes which I assume is to provide more stock when launching. If both mounting holes were on the bottom of the Metco bar it would work, but I am afraid that if I drilled another hole the aluminum lower arm would be too weak. Just wondering if anyone had any advice before I before I have to buy a new stabilizer bar from Hr Parts. Thanks, Shawn
