I would tightly seal the drum up so no air can get to it and I would drain and flush your meth injection system. Use gasoline for that. First check with the manufacturer to make sure gasoline is OK with seals and rubber, etc.
Gas is almost always NOT ok to put through a methanol pump, these pumps are not made for petroleum products. Use water if anything. There was a post about this not too long ago, Julio suggested that if you are going to do anything (as nothing is REALLY required) then to mix half meth and half water. that way it should not freeze and the meth is no longer as strong on the seals.
That's correct. Very few rubbers will stand up to both gas and methanol. The rubber used in the Weldon pumps will stand up to both. I know that one from experience.
Yea, i think some of the older ones held up. I just know Julio's won't...at least not very long. Also, a side note about the barrel of methanol, keep it off the cement/floor because it will attract moisture...

How long we talking about, I have Julio's kit on mine and it had alky in it the last part of summer and then I was sent to the hospital and it set that fall, That winter and all the next summer, When I was able I hit the test button and other than turning it up some it has worked fine
I meant wont last long with gas in it. He refabs the pumps for methanol so you should not have any issues at all with the pump when running alky through it or letting alky/meth sit in it.
