IA here, race shop sells it for about $3/gallon. I try to run 10 gallons through a year with 10k street miles and 30+ passes. I didn't use 5 gallons last year with about 30 passes and around 3k miles. I was busy with work. :drowning: That's on a single M15 and Razor's kit.

he said during a 1/4 pass so right foot is WOT
and low 10s HP so 650hp or so

typical consumption is determined by how much you need to cool the air charge for the boost you run ...
if running high timing you will find you need more alky than is needed than just to cool
better IC like an FMIC will drop more heat on its own than a SLIC
if motor/turbo is effiecient you will use less boost and heat air less than a small turbo running past its efficeincy or a head thats done and at a wall
warm day inlet air will be warmer and that heat needs to be dropped

high boost on twin nozzles figure about 1.5 - 2 oz per second
10 sec pass 15-20oz
5 gal x 128 = 640 oz ...

single nozzle rated flow will be less than twins but will need to be turned up higher to get the alky to the motor
low 10s have been done on a single 15 (think a 9 sec pass has just been run) , but i would recommend twin 10s

5 gallons could last all season if you race alot and there arent any leaks

Going to follow what you said and try twin halo 11 lb nozzles instead of a single 15 halo nozzle. Think a 15 and an 11 is too much and that 20 lbs will be like Baby Bear's porridge, Just Right.:)
Thanks. Will let you know how this turns out.

keep in mind i have a really good FMIC and a large efficient turbo , i run lower timing than most are used too running and i log my IAT temps at the plenum and try not to get it too cold ..i run with filter under the hood and whether its 40s or 80s ambient i keep my inlet temps around mid 60s

How much timing do u run?

Gotya, looks like you have a battery charging issue... only 12.7 volts near the top of the run??

ah ... it was 12.7 the whole run :)

i agree it is something that needs addressing\\looks like belt slippagge , it was 13.6 up to about 4500 rpm then it dropped
running champion ac delete setup and theres no tensioner
thats why i dont like the volt booster to help a pump meet the fuel demand ,loose the booster during a pass and your going to have a bad day if you cant supply the engine fuel needs at battery voltage

I totally agree. Voltage is the first thing i glance at after a run since it causes increased inj DC among other things.

$85+ for five gallon drum of M1 here in Hawaii. Only one place on island that sells it too.

434nova where are the places lpcal to you.I.know s&k speed out on l.I..has it those prices arent too bad was payin that cpl.years ago...

Heh heh you went to Ron's. I stopped in and asked a few months back too.

Monopoly!

Exactly. There's nothing like purchasing something, knowing all the while you're getting reamed, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it.

Yep. That statement applies to many things purchased on this rock. The price we pay to live in paradise..:)

Methanol in OKC is in the $2.90's including tax which is about $1 more than it was a year ago.
