I purchased a used set of 235 mt drag radials off a friend here in town and when he brought them over, they did, and still do look like there is alot of tread left.
I asked how many miles were on them, and he told me there were over 5000 miles on them with no burnouts. I put over 1000 miles on them and they are not down to the wear indicators.
If you do alot of burn outs, they wear quick, but if you treat them right, ive heard stories around 10,000 miles.

Hindsight, i was only able to get 14,000 miles out of my 255/60/15 firestone firehawks... Only burnouts were birthdays (2), bar hopping (1) and showing off at work (1)

Next tires will be 295/60/15 on stock rims or my draglites, i just purchased 275/60 firestones on the stock rims and they are big, but with the rolled lip, there is alot of room left.

I had a set on my 71 Chevelle, I don't recommend driving on wet pavement with them. Also I don't recommend driving around on them all the time as they wear out quick. Otherwise they're good to drive to the track and then drive home.

Just got a set in the mail today. Been using BFG Gforce's and not happy with them, so were gonna try the mt's.

Thanks a ton guys!

I work 12 miles from here and I use the car to commute daily.

Beats the mileage in my 06 Durango!

I am going to grab em, $200 for them on GN rims. Used only a few times.

Anyone have 255/60/15's in stock...all the big daddy's are out, and back-ordered for at least a month...

Has anyone ever used these on a daily driver?

I have a chance to get a deal on them but I am a little leary about daily driving them, especially if I get caught in the rain!

The current owner says they fit under the car on the stock rims just fine.

Any comments, please!

Same here. Got A brand new set waiting to go on. 275-60-15. I also drive around at 18-20 psi... since im always testing/tuning.

Ok guys gotta be honest, the set I was talking about I finally got to see in person. They were bald down to the wear indicators; unfortunately for both of us a "no sale".

Sounded awesome for day to day "street duty" but they were too worn, so I have to go with a brand new set of BFGoodrich radial T/A for 93.00 or so a piece - no other choice.

I think I might grab a pair sometime, but nearly $200 a tire before mounting and balancing has put the M/T on the sidelines for now.

Any other comperable suggestions?

TIA

Chris
