What's it take to keep our 200's alive for mid 10's? Thanks in advance.

A 9sec build. Jk, kinda. It's not that bad from what I hear. Stage 3 Lonnie Diers should do it. I bought billet forward drum and input shaft, as many good clutches as you can stuff in there, big billet servo and boost valves. Some say you need to dual feed it but I think a good pump and no checkball in the input shaft and it'll shift hard. As long as you can keep the shifts quick and firm, just the normal hard parts are needed to make it live. I have almost 300 passes, 60k miles, and nothing but two fluid changes. I guess I did have to pin the governor spring and replace a bad tcc solenoid but that's normal too.

Hey...thanks for responding...and it's never a bad idea to overbuild. When I was running mid 11's 3 years ago...that's what I had it built for...and now with running mid 10's it's developed the dreaded 2-3 flair. I guess what I'm asking is what's required to alleviate this problem in 10 second territory.

A good guy to have do the work or get parts from is Dave Husek www.turbobuickperformance.com

Since I haven't broken my tranny yet which I will because that's the only thing I haven't rebuilt yet I will go with Dave's advice and parts.

He's in the vendor section.

Stage II Extreme Automatics from Lonnie can take it for sure. I have been as fast as 10.16 at 134mph with one and a perfect shift profile.

Lonnie's Stage 2 here, been working in the 10's for years.

David Husek for sure. Just got mine back from him last week. New Trans is running great.

I can set you up with a proper build or the parts needed to build your own transmission for the 10's. Contact me if you need any information on either, I will be more than happy to discuss this with you

I purchased all parts and a converter from dave. Very satisfied with the drivability of the car in town and highway. Can't go wrong with any vendors though. Do it once right and be done.

Dang, that's like tech talk and stuff... You didn't just budget build your trans? When did you start liking nice stuff? Jk, glad to hear the good review about Dave. Everyone I know personally seems to have great dealings with him.

Wasn't stuffed full of money. I told Dave what I had, how much boost, and that the car was gonna be 90% street driven. I think it was built accordingly.
