Military retiree Delta Dental Vs. Other plans

I am looking at different dental plans. I can choose Delta Dental for military retiree or my companies plans. They are offering me a choice of PPO or Aetna DMO. I have all the comparison plans but confuse about which plan is the best. I will be traveling a lot but my wife should be staying state side.

I took the retirees Delta Dental plan. Didn't have anything from an employer (retired) to compare it to.

We had Delta Dental through my employer plan (pre-retirement). Plan was good, but the premiums added up to about $300/yr less than the max cap per year. Good if you're only getting cleaning, X-rays, or minor work. When I retired, we passed on the dental plan...
