mini starter

I purchased and installed the Chinese mini starter in my T-Type. With the old stock starter, the engine would fire nearly instantly just about every time. Now, with the mini starter, the car cranks over a lot longer before firing. My battery is fully charged. It just seems like the stock starter had more "guts".

The mini started has a tinny sound (like an old Mopar starter) and I don't mind that but I was wondering if I am the only one experiencing a longer cranking time. Paul

I installed mine on to a brand new motor so I wasn't sure if it was the motor or the starter that was the reason it took a little longer to start. I guess I know now. Even s,o the mini starter is a much nicer piece to work with.

I agree, I'ts a lot nicer than the stock one and I'm glad I have it, I just wasn't sure if I was the only one with one that seems to crank longer. Thanks! Paul

Steve, Paul -

Are both of you using the mini starter that is listed on the GNTTYPE page?
