Missing t.v. modulator downshift spring

I bought a used GN 2004r that was in running condition and this weekend I got around to installing CK's shift recalibration kit. I figured that since I had the valve body out, I would check to make sure their are no valve's sticking or missing anything. As I was checking it out, I found that the spring for the T.V. modulator downshift spring is missing. Doing a google search, I found a couple of hits that say alot of shift kits actually remove this spring

So hear's the question, is it needed, if so, does anyone have a part number? According to the exploded diagram I have that CK supplies for his recalibration kit, it's item # 315 and is called "Spring, T.V. Modulator downshift valve"

I have the answer...A big thanks to Chris at CK and David Husek....It was never installed from the factory!! I learned something new :biggrin:
