Moderator help needed: Why can't I edit a post or delete a thread suddenly?

Guys, I started a thread last night with new & used parts for sale. After a few minutes, suddenly, the EDIT POST button disappeared from the original post that started the thead. So, unable to edit or delete it, I started another thread.

This morning, I get up and #2 thread is like that. What is up or what I am doing wrong? I just want to ensure I keep "SOLD" or "SALE PENDING" on stuff as it goes.

It has been this way for a while!

You only have an alloted time after posting to edit a post!

You can PM a mod to change the orginial post or simply quote you post and edit as a new post!

We are tossing around ideas on how to handle this situation!
