My 1986 Ttype moonroof is making a "grinding" noise when I try to close my factory moonroof--it seems to open normal but when I go to close it its sounds like plastic teeth "clicking/grinding almost like it's skipping the gears and the moonroof will close but very slow--i can assist it with my hand to close it but I'm thinking my actuator may be going or there is a drive gear that is stripped or something happened to the teeth on it if a gear is used????. Anyone have a new/used actuator motor and picture or the drive portion??
anyone have pictures of this moonroof assembly so I can get an idea of whats involved with RR of this actuator...I have seen the assenmlby manuals but these diagrams are not that great. Im in the Chicagoiland Area
