Got the exhaust leak cleared, but also have to contend with the following: Puff of smoke @ first startup, very rough running (gets worse as engine heats up) and a suction sound from somwhere around the throttle body that resembles a 737 idling-------NOW WHAT DID I DO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :rolleyes

I hear yea man, sucking noise, maybe tb gasket, o ring on the turbo to intake adp, vac lines by there, intake tube lose. Spray something around there and see if it dies or picks up the idle some that should tell you where its at, try to do this when its cold . The puff of smoke, maybe a little rich, probably for the vac leak .

New valve seals, new throttle body gasket, and fix vacuum leak somewhere. You might also check to see if seals are leaking in turbo.

tried the carb spray trick and nothing happened. wiggled the pcv line and the rpm went up triple checked the tb mount, made a new gasket for the vac block, and nothing obvious...any chance the rear intake seal got dislodged somehow?

Could have sucked the rubber gasket in on the intake but i dont think so. My guess would be turbo gasket like men in black said or the o rings on the adp in the back of the intake. what did you use to spray.

Try using starting fluid for leaks I found that to work the best.

Check the BOLT that screws into the Compressor Housing on tha tlittle bracket.

man.. my turbo popped TWO of th em damn bolts out so far

unless that o-ring was bad it shouldnt blow the seal.. so check that bolt. That's the only thing really big enough to cause the car to run that horrible.

Check the o-rings that go around the throttle shaft. Today, I hooked up an air hose and adapter to my turbo inlet to check for leaks under pressure, and found a massive leak around the throttle shaft. Now I'm trying to find the correct o-rings.
