I bought this youth model gun for my son a couple of years ago. He used it for spring turkey the last two seasons. Now at age 8 he wants to deer hunt this year. I would like to get another barrel for the gun with a scope so I can just switch back and forth depending on what he is hunting. I cant find a smooth bore with a scope mount. Do you know if they make one? I don't want to shoot sabots. They are way too expensive and I have already bought about 100 slugs for the gun.

To the best of my knowledge there isn't 1 made. Get the rifled bore barrel and you can still use regular slugs. Been there done that. The rifled bore and the grooves on the slug should be about the same and will help stabilize it.

My sons came with a slug barrel and scope . I am not sure if its a smooth barrel though
