Soo, How do you guys stay motivated? My car is pretty darn close to being finished. There is to many times that I feel like blowing it all out and buying a turnkey 60's, 70's muscle car that is simple and effective.

All I have left to do is

install accsrys, intercooler, rad/fans, Tbody, wires, Vacum lines,
XFI, trans, fuel lines, fuel tank, driveshaft and 2 consol guages.

I'm going to the nationals in MD at the end of the month to gain some motivation. I also look at Youtube Videos a lot.

What do you guys do?

When I got to the track to spectate and see so many new Mustangs. That gets me going.

get a car buddy to give you a hand. blast your favorite music while your working plus all the above ideas.

thanks guys. I guess a lot of it has to do with me being a small block chevy guy. Even when the car was not finished, it was always just a few parts away. This one feels like a laundry list that goes on forever. It doesn't help that I started with a Roller so chasing hardware is the hardest part. Especially with no previous TR history.

I have my brother who pretty much is the driving force behind this car. He has a GN thats pretty badass and his will be back together in a few days. After I drive that again I'm sure i'll be motivated.

go help your brother and learn a few things get motivated and have him return the favor and help you back !!!! problem solved

I do consume 100% of what he tells/shows me. The biggest thing is after we get this car running I want to keep it very conservitive so I am not back in the down position again. I just don't have time to mess with cars the way I used to. I'm hoping that his car will be together enough to take it to the GS Nats in Cecil. I would love to try and talk him into running it. IT definetely feels like a mid 10 seconed car. He's just more of a tunning and street type of guy than race track.

I'm double-whammied, summers here are over 100° from May through September plus I'm close to 60... I've always enjoyed working on my cars, but the older I get the less I like driving them. Too many unnecessary reg's, too much growth, and too many stupid inattentive drivers out there to have fun any more. I need to move out to Eden and be Steve's neighbor!
