I would like to buy polyurethane motor mounts for my GN from these two companies, prothane or energy suspension. Both companies have nothing listed under grand nationals for motor mounts, but they do have motor mounts for regular 3.8 231 motors (non turbocharged). My question is, do regular 3.8 and turbocharged 3.8 use the same motor mounts? I have the part number for the energy suspension motor mounts for the non turbo regals, which is 3116g. If anybody has used this part number for a turbo GN please let me know.

Thanks for any replies.
Marco.

You should check out hrpartsnstuff.com I'm sure they are more expensive than the other two, but they make amazing products!! My .03

if youre going to put in the time an effort for new motor mounts, do it right, get the hrpartsnstuff.com ones. 209 plus shipping for both sides. if money is really a big issue, get the driver side only and put a stock replacement one on the passenger side.

In the GM parts manual, the mounts for all the G body V6 engines are the same, turbo and non-. So if you want the stock mounts, the part should be the same. Poly will transmit more vibration, though. Some people don't mind it, some do.

Agreed! I did the HRParts drivers side only and it works great. Most guys only do the drivers side, usually all that is needed. Poly isn't much different than my stockers (Brand new stockers) for vibration transfer, and even if it did transfer vibes, I'd rather have that than the downpipe hitting, exhaust hitting, etc from the motor rocking.

Just my .04

The companies you listed do not make a poly mount for our engines that I am aware of. Purchase the hrpartsnstuff Motor mounts. You will thank yourself. Easy to install and so far we have not broke one yet. I keep trying though.
