I just pulled my motor out of my T-type. This motor has run solid and never had a issue. I pulled it out to freshen it up and sell it. I was completely blown away at the condition of the internals. The will post pics tomorrow of the motor and the bearing that came out of this shortblock. I ran the numbers in my sig with this motor at 25 psi. Here is a list of whats in it.

109 block .30 over
J&E pistons with file fit plasma moly rings
Stock crank 10/10 (ARP hard ware)
stock rods fitted with ARP hardware
New double rolling timing chain
218/224 ductile roller with DLS cam kit
Steal caps
High volume front cover with waterpump
Stock flywheel and balancer
Oil pan
I brought it to my enginer builder and told him to freshen it up (meaning rings, bearings, line hone, timing chain etc). He disassembled it, cleaned the block, put in new bearings, line honed it, put in a new double rolling timing chain and cleaned all the parts and re assembled it. He told me the rings are still in good shape and did not reccomend a new set, the line hone is more then enough. The pistons are in mint condition. Spent $900 to freshen it up although it did not need it. But its a better selling feature knowing that it has been throughly inspected and put back together. Also piece of mind.
Motor has a clean bill of health, asking $3300 without lifters and $3700 with zero lash Race Comp 885 lifters. Great piece for a daily driver/ weekend warrior.

Thats a killer deal!
Are you still building a V6 or V8 now?

Thanks Kev, I am still going to be playing with the v6. Pretty much starting from scratch again with a different setup.

Until i recoupe some lute, it looks like the Flinstone style right now:redface:

Attached is the work sheet from my engine builder for the fresh up.

What heads were you running and do you think a girdle might be a nice addition.?I am very interested as want a play Block and leave my original alone. before I ruin it pushing HP thorough it. Not much Of a engine know it all so any forethought would be nice.

I was running Champion irons at first, then made a switch to the aluminum GN1's. Judging from your setup in your sig, a girdle at this point would not be nessesary. Right now this is more then enough to run fast with. Its reliable and very streetable for a daily driver.

Hey Mike
Just thought I would post and say it was a pleasure to talk with you.
To everyone the block will be sold money pending of course and shipment but ...guess I feel like I'm giving feedback on Ebay:eek: . Just kidding. I want to run faster than I have and keep original if I need to, Ive told many peple that I have every nut, bolt and washer that came Off my car. and I mean it. Mike seems as particulate about his stuff as I so this should be a good transaction.
I'll be picking your brain later Mike for info, MY dime(free telus long distance) TTYL
Next I be calling Anderson's for parts.. and others, This also means I have to do a couple 5 week hitches in the bush to justify the money, the wife don't drive in the winter on Hiways..What do I do now?? 5 weeks is a lot of time without t**L.. NO "A hand in the left isnt as good as won on the right" LOl:eek:
Don W:tongue:

Mike..

looking forward to see what your new set-up runs :)...

Thanks Mike, that makes you and I both. I am getting a little overwhelmed right now because time is nothing I am blessed with. My focus right now is at work and that in itself is taking up lots of my time. I have no timetable as to when its going to come out. I did before I started parting it out, but now everything shot out the window.
