I'm thinking of selling the methanol T and trading down to a driver 87 gn . need some investment money.

i would appreciate input on the cars value.what would you sell it for if it was YOURS? i did all the labor on my car except the paint.heres i link on the car with many pics. miles now at 54,000. car has alot of tastefully mods,all can be removed.all OEM parts come with car.my thoughts are 21 k.

post up values here for all to see,everyones opinion is appreciated.read the threads about the car and its history then make your estimate.would like to sell here,or put on evil-bay if many parties are interested and let them decide on what the value is.

Very interesting car, but it'd be hard to find the right buyer for it who'd be willing to spend 20+ on it.

If you want it sold in 2 weeks, put it up for 15k; if you want to deal with people coming to your home and low balling you every weekend till October, put it up for 20+.

Really depends on how quick you're looking for a sale. I personally wouldn't even consider selling it for $15000, if you have documentation to prove its history, hold onto it, or through it on a free classified for 25000, and see if there are any bites.

The real question is how much does it being a test car increase it's value? I think you're fairly priced. I'd love to have a 1 of 5 car.

no hurry to sell the car,and Ive felt like selling it before and backed out.so it wont hurt my feelings if i let it set for a while longer.
I think the methanol history will be more interesting as we struggle with fossil fuels and these five cars show some kind of proof that we were trying different fuel options back in 1987.
i have alot of documentation,the owners manual with the my test car's number on it, and all the test parts except the injectors and chip.i think some 60's and a TT chip and car will run excellent on meth.
the car is too nice for me to drive everyday.I'm obsessive compulsive and it got to the point where i cannot drive it without worring about other cars hitting me,door ding,etc.
i would rather have a daily driver to enjoy and take to the track some.drive it down my dirt road and not worry about it. just looking for less stress.this car needs to be preserved....
