Ty,
Glad to hear you and your family are all OKAY!......and as for the furnace,ya can't spend all your money on JD's and GN's ya know!;)

Take care of yourself and your family Ty,and Happy Holidays.

We all started getting sick middle of the night last night,,, vomiting and headaches etc..... I mean headaches like 5 times worse than my wifes migraned she gets.

Finally about 1 pm today it hit me, I had a guy work on our furnace last weekend so I goodled Furnace and headaches and Carbon monoxide poisoning popped up.

I read the symptoms and WHAM exactly what we had! I called the gas company and they came and we had levels 35-50 pp/M I think he said, I was half crocked with my headache and wasnt paying much attention.

He said get your family to the ER ASAP and if need be I will drive you.

We got there and they put us all 4 on hours of 15L of Oxygen and took blood samples, EKGs etc and we are now in a motel room until the new furnace gets in.

Beware of furnaces this time of year guys!!! We were literally a few hours from being "gone"

Ty

Ty, so glad you and your family are ok! That is some serious stuff! You had better be thanking God for your second chance!

Just make sure and get you one of those energystar furnaces so you can get some bailout $'s.

Wow Ty, Glad to hear you are OK! That's an incredible amount of CO! Last year I replaced my astroroof seal and battery was a little low to shut it once I was done, made the mistake of starting it just to shut it & lubricate slides. Wasn't running for 3 minutes in the garage and it got me the sickest I'd ever been (Yeah it was dumb, but couldn't get over how fast that CO can effect you, and will never do anything like that again)... Cannot imagine how bad you felt:eek: Glad you're still with us!!

John

A lawsuit would brand and potentially disable the grossly neglegent company. They almost killed people.

Good thing you were with it enough to check into it. A guy I worked with years back came in to work with a bad headache and told me his son passed out in the shower. Then he said his wife was sick too but he was so out of it he didn't realize what was going on. I had just seen a show about carbon manoxide and told him to call his wife and get them out of the house. She was so out of it she wouldn't listen. I made him call a neighbor to drag them out of the house. He went to get them to the ER and it was Carbon Manoxide. They found a crack in the furnace burner.

Good thing you looked into it and saved your family.

Very scary stuff Ty, glad to hear you and your family are all okay!

Well I may need to change a few things on my list now Ty. I'm very happy that you and the family made it out. I'd be more than depressed you disappeared from the forums bud. I haven't met you in person but I hope to soon. Please take your time and get better. You're not allowed to leave us yet dude! Now get another Buick and we'll see what happens.
