Well, new to me. It’s one of those rare 87 V8 T’s. My brother told me about it last week and told me that I need to pick it up. Info was a little short, but he did say it had decent interior which is buckets with a console. I stopped after work on Friday to look at it and the interior isn’t the greatest, its not really rusty, the frame is excellent, it had a motor but there were no keys to fire it up, it has some 14" Western wheels and it’s a T-top car. The T-top part sold me. The bad part about it other than the no keys is that the windshield is smashed it has a really bad paintjob and since I bought it out of a junkyard it has a salvage title. Here’s a few pics...

Ah the good old 307 Olds. Thats a familiar sight.
Thats what my car was before I converted to LC2 specs. Overall, looks decent.
It could make for a nice driver or base for a drivetrain swap.

Nice find! If you dont do a Turbo V6 swap, put a nice healthy V8 or a Turbo LS1 in it  ;)

What a turd!

Put a 03/04 Worked Mustang Cobra 4.6 Modular Drivetrain with a Ken Belle Supercharger in it!:D

I concur I'd replace the 307 with the 455, maybe even put back on the correct 10 fin T type rims, then restore it back to stock specs, except for the engine. Even swap out the 7,5 rear for an 8.5 one. Should be a nice car when all is said and done. Good find.

Restore?? Nah...won't happen with this one. It's a car from the junkyard with a junkyard title. It'll might become a daily cruiser for a little while before it becomes a dragstrip hero.

Whoa, thats a lot of hoses and wires and lines under that there hood.
But I shouldn't be talking, I have an 83 258, now THAT is a lot of hoses and stuff

Hey stop putting down that POS!

You can do lots of neat things with it. If it was me I would make it a rolling project. Drive & fix it up at same time.

Find a nice SBC & do up a mild build, swap it in after you kill the 307. The body seems all there. Just work a panel a week month or whatever your time table allows... once done get a quick macco paint job.

OH if you leave the car with macco make sure the 307 is still in it.

my son brought his MONTE to macco & the crew there all took turns beating it with the 305.
We waited to put the 350 in after they painted it.

Boo on the chevy speak. No chevy motors will ever find a home in any of my cars unless I happen to own a chevy.

As for paint, my cousin has a vast array of hues from Mack. They do have a nice metal flake blue, but the interior would look hokey. So Mack black may be the color of choice.

Boo on the 307! the sbc would be better than that olds motor.

Or if ya have the funds yes put the turbo motor in.

are those original factory wheels?

No they are some sort of aftermarket rim.

Man you gotta love dumbasses that have ZERO respect for your car. Even a bigger dumb ass if you think a 305 powered Monte is something to shake a stick at, like these clowns obviously thought.

If your son had proof of this, maybe he should have blown up the 305 then pinned the blame on the Maaco clowns.

I have a spare 455 and TH400 that could motivate that thing! lol.

Yeah, I remember the hoses on my 307. What a spaghetti mess. It would take me less time to swap out the motor than it would be to trace a vacuum leak...lol.
Reliable as all heck though. Actually had some giddy up after the K&N, Hooker duals, and a few other *cough* not so legal *cough* mods.

Better keep that 455 for yourself. I have 4 (in fact I have lots of Buick motors). One of those 455's is in my 71 Skylark, one's living in my broom closet as an 11:1, .038 over with a TA-210HS cam. I have one from my former 76 Electra living under a tarp next to my barn and a bare block with all the parts to put it together living in different locations. I also have 5 Buick 350's, one Buick 300 and one Buick 340.

I also have a 73 Olds 455 that I've sold 4 times, but no one would pick it up, so it got kicked out into the field next to a couple of 460's.

Nice find

Now, how much do you want for the tail light lenses and the header panel?:)
