My vacuum brakes are leaking.

I installed vacuum brakes about 2 years ago. They have worked great. But now there is an vacuum leak. It sounds like it is coming from inside the car. Up where the rod goes through the firewall. You can hear it very well from inside the car. And if you hold the brakes, it will kill the motor. Any ideas what this might be?

Sounds like one of the booster diaphrams has sprung a vacuum leak. Replace the booster.
