So, I was having a little issue under high boost and the dipstick was getting pushed out a tad and dropping oil on my driver side header causing smoke. I decided to install a vacuum setup and this is what I have.
Ls1 vacuum pump relayed and hob switched to come on after 7psi
Sealed passenger side valve cover using a breather that has been sealed up
The vacuum is being pulled off of the driver side valve cover using a very large diameter hose (don't recall size)
I am using a stock pcv into a catch can and an rjc pcv between the catch can and intake. Works like a charm.
The vacuum pump exhaust is plumbed under the car through the frame.
I fabricated a bracket to hold the pump in the location of the carbon canister.
This one of the few small projects I have been doing between being out to sea and working my ass off on the ship. I have been running it for about 2 months now and it works perfectly. The only gripe I have is that I wish I would've done it long time ago.
