"mystery" Theft Deterrent System

If you love your car like most here do,just spend the bucks .You will not be dissapointed.Mine was $20-30 ,don't remember for sure,but its a very nice piece, you cannot build it yourself for this price and it looks factory, which is what makes it effective.CHEAP price for security.And don't kid yourself about the thieves,they walk among us...

Its not about the money...I have a feeling I know what this product does and if it is what I think it is, I have secondary concerns.

I'm sure theives know about this. Don't rely on one theft deterrent, use multiple ones....an alarm, column guard, hidden kill switches, pitbull in back seat, AK-47, etc, etc.

i have one of thier old touch and go systems and it works fine.
for them not to tell what it is is wrong. some type of false wiring?
im sure the thieves dont carry around a wiring chart with them just a tow truck in which case it doesnt matter anyway

You'd be surprised WTF thieves do and where they get there info from... just b/c you dont see them post or their screen name I AM POSITIVE thieves lurk on the boards..... - My lil' brothers T-Type was stolen in broad daylight from his high school - 2-1/2 blocks from the front of the school.... we recovered the car.... stripped to the bare bones.... and we find an electrical schematic with all the sensors and wiring harness information from one of the boards..... go figure so if you dont want to buy it dont - if you have concerns call the manufacturer....

i bought a touch and go yrs ago from kirban and it works great. but to ad a product with no idea what it is or how it works seems a bad idea. buy it if you dont like send back and pay shipping etc . at least give some type of clue. maybe id buy one if i knew what it was. simplest way to keep car from being stolen is take out your chip, dont think many thieves carry around a spare chip for our cars. like i said if they really want it a tow truck and its gone in 30 seconds.

No one here is trying to "steal" his idea, I'm sure it probably wasn't "his" idea to begin with. FWIW I'm going to get one but I also have another type of kill switch planned out I'm going to install. It's going to not let the car start and make a lot of noise inside and outside the car. I may even hide some hidden missles inside the grille and under the rear bumper, aimed at the tow truck.

Considering that it is unlikely car thieves will be lurking up here why doesn't someone explain what it actually does in detail to qualify as a deterrant?

called kirban and talked to them about it . if youre going to leave your car for an extended period of time it is a good idea. short period of time i would say no as its not a passive system younmhave to arm it manually, but for 25$ why not

I dont care if someone makes them & sells them & Kirban loses sales as thats competition. We are here to share & help each other & I do all I can for boardmembers BUT I dont believe in telling about kill switches on a public forum. I also believe that you cant have too many so for $25 just buy one.
They are made nice & work well. You wont regret it.

I bought the Kirbans "Mystery" theft deterrent. I did not know what it was. It was pretty simple and I thought to myself "why didn't I think of that?"

Needless to say, it works great and does not interfere with anything else on the car. In fact I have other theft deterrents including factory security.

When I go to a car show I will disable the whole car and it's prefectly fine. One of the last times I went to a show, I disabled the car and when it was time to leave I thought I had gotten everything ready to go and sat there for 20 minutes like some idiot wondering why the car wouldn't start. I tried everything until I remembered the "mystery". After that the car started up like nothing and off I went.

The "mystery" deterrent will not stop a thief. Hardly anything will. It will, however, buy some time. Thieves don't want to waste time, it increases their chances of getting caught.

IMHO, it's better than not having anything at all and for $25 bux it's just another little extra that gives me piece of mind. I highly recommend it.
