SignUp Now!The article says they're tamper proof. Does that mean the teams can't do their own tuning?
Carb guys are hurling themselves off roofs as we speak.
It really makes sense if you think about it. When was the last production car with a carb made?? Think they should be able to tweak them though.
I fall asleep watching Nascar and usually miss the BIG wreck
Kevin
I really don't understand why they will not let the teams tune their own systems. Might as well go to crate motors.
The system is a port injection with a throttle body. It's going to have lots of issues I predict.

Bet a lot of guys on here have never even owned a car with a carburetor on it. I know I don't miss having one. Fond memories of sticking float on Holleys.
Forget EFI, last I knew they were still racing cars with TRUCK ARM rear suspensions!!! Unless that went away with the car of tomorrow, they are racing with the same 3 link rear suspension technology that was last seen in a 71 chevy pickup. AND, they could easily find ways around restrictor plate racing but what fun would that be?
Nascar has made some huge mistakes lately. They are heading for a nose dive. No one wants to see perfectly matched cars handed out by nascar. I quit watching when all the "mystery cautions" started appearing with out them ever showing debris, trying to help "someone" out. You think I'm crazy? My parents were at the track in KC (they own 2 seats), they listen to the officials channel on their headset scanners. It came over the scanners, they told an official to drive out to the backstretch, get out of the truck, bend over and pretend to pick something up.Guess who was about to go a lap down?
It's not real racing anymore. Truthfully, after I read Smokey Yunick's autobiography, telling the truth about the REAL history of nascar, I can't believe I ever watched it. I see it as garbage now.
