So i changed out my rear diff oil with Red Line Superlight Shockproof Gear Oil, as i got the car on the road saturday. I got a nasty grind and loud clunks. So i went to get some limited slip diff additive and topped off the oil. So my question is, is there a certain limited slip additive i need? Is the oil to thin?

You can get the additive from any GM product dealer. It's a small bottle so you shouldn't have any issues adding it.

I got some of the champion additive and didn't seem to work. Was that my mistake that I did not get GM specific?

Okay, one last question, I promise. Once the additive is added, does it take a little while to get worked in and stop the clunk?

Usually it's more of a chatter than a clunk but you should notice a difference within the first 50 or so miles once the oil heats up from driving.
