Which distridutor can I use for my Stage engine? I know that there is the MSD 8551. Can't find one anywhere. Has it been discontinued?

You might call msd and ask them, but it might be possible that you can buy the dist. for a buick 215 v8 (8548) and put a v6 cap on it. Since you'll be knocking all the tabs off the reluctor but one, it doesn't matter what you start with.

how about a core that needs a rebuild?

I have one, but it binds when spun.... I had called MSD about it awhile back and they said they could rebuild it... didnt ask how much though....

That will work. You can run the new style chevy cap too

Which cap? 8430 or 8014.

A lopt of guys use the 8014 You will need to make the wires with the HEI ends on them
