Need a little help with a prayer for a little guy

I just received a call from my daughter Sara, that my new grandson, Elija Mehrkens, has been born w/ one kidney defective and he is blind...

I'm having a hard time accepting that something like this could happen to such a defenseless little person. A prayer or two would be appreciated..

If there's ANYTHING I can do, you know the number, and you know you can call anytime day or night. You know that. If you need to look into children's hospitals and that sort of thing, my wife is on the state health dept. board. Vanderbilt has one more hell yeah children's hospital, just drop a dime brother, and we'll do anything you need. You and yours are in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers. God Bless.

Sorry to hear the news Chuck. Just accentuate the positive and know it could have been much worse. Lets hope the other Kidney is OK and can do the job, which 99% of the time it can. One of my friends has a blind son (irreversible) and you will be amazed how kids get along without their sight. It will put you in even more awe of your grandchild and you will love him even more. Tell Mom and Dad not to worry, and it will work out.

Thankfully, my daughter born 3 weeks ago is healthy as are my other 2 children. I agree with you that such things should not be allowed to happen to such defenseless little people.

Your Grandson has a most fortunate name. One of the Bibles biggest names was the prophet Elijah. And Elijah did great miracles. 1 Kings 18, Elijah show evidents of our mighty God to an unbelieving crowd. I love to read it. That crowd too was blind to the power and miracles of God.

I pray to God to heal your family of Elija's physical deformities. I pray for a miracle of internal healings and that through this adversity, God show his love for you and your family. And even though we may not see or understand I pray that through your grandson, God shows clear understandings.
