Mine has finally given out.. I tried cleaning it out with brake cleaner, but it either sticks on after spraying or doesn't turn on during spray. Anyone know of a suitable replacement ? ......... thanks

You can probably buy a Hobbs switch from Napa and wire it in place. Or get a boost switch off of Ebay.. some companies sell them.

Thanks... do they handle alky/meth OK, I thought they were only good for air pressure ?

I was thinking the one inside the older style controller.

The one on the pressure line.. good luck.

Anything that sits in methanol or alcohol needs to be brass or stainless.. Long time ago Autometer made an inexpensive fuel pressure gauge using an oil pressure sending unit.. the alcohol in the gasoline would cause them to fail eventually leaking.. there was a recall on these gauges because of that.

Sorry cant help further, you may try and see if Steve at SMC still answers his email.. Should be in your paperwork if you bought the kit from him.

Switch is part of the pump. Not separate like on the SMC kit. If not.. i'd be pitching you a sale.

Notice on the head of my pump there is a switch, but it bolts to the pump and uses a gasket so fluid doesnt touch it.
