Sorry to hear that Justin, have you verified that it is a rod/main bearing problem? please double check harmonic balancer if you haven't already, these 3800's are tough little engines but the balancers can make you think you've toasted the lower end, very common to all 3800's, supercharged or NA, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya, good luck.

I have not checked the motor out but it sounds like a rod. I pulled the dipstick and there appears to be metal-flake in the oil. Its not a ton and I could barely see it. I'll have to check that as well, thanks bud. I see you are in Lapeer? I just moved from Davison a week ago!!! Weird!!!!
 
engine

i have an engine that caught on fire. if you want to replace the bottom end. it wasn't that bad, i rebuilt the car.
