I think all 3.8's from 1981-1985-1/2 14 bolt pan rails were interchangeable, only 3.8 Turbos and 4.1 having the good crank.
Keep your eye on local salvage yards for the 4.1's hiding in Caddilacs, if you see a Buick V6 with a 4bbl carb, that's your 4.1 :biggrin:
