Need cam help asap

Guys once you pull off the front cover there is a circle plate shaped as a dome, does that get reinstalled when useing a roller cam?
Motors apart, just need a little help.

Do you mean the one on the crank? If that's the case then yes. It's an oil slinger and keeps the front seal from leaking as easily.
