Need help finding a lap top screen for.

a Acer Travelmate 512 DX Have been calling 800-834-4172 for several month but he finally says it looks hopeless. Cracked the screen, screen is all I need.

Pull out the old one and take a pic of it and post it.

Also, try and get a part number on the screen itself while its off.

P.S. If I were you, I would look on craigslist.org or the penny saver / classifieds or even on these boards for a good used laptop.

From what I have gathered online about your laptop, that thing is ancient and not even worth fixing IMO.

If there are things on there that you need backed up, you can do that without the screen...

I am with NothinYet on not worth fixing it, but if you want call these people, They are in the St Louis Mo area and are quite good with laptop repairs and have alot of old parts. They are also an Acer dealer.

I ran into the same problem with my Panasonic Toughbook CF50. I broke the screen when it was just a few months old. They wanted $800 for just the screen, so I ended up buying a whole new computer
