hey guys. I know that my car is a true GN, but the guy I bought it from had to replace the decklid, and the rpo sticker is gone forever! how can i get a replacement?

CHANCES ARE SLIM TO GRIM

Buying a good used, never-repainted GN trunklid with an intact RPO decal with the same codes is one way...and maybe the only way.

HTH :)

I've posted before about this! I'd sure like to see someone scan one of these stickers with a hand scanner! Then I could build an excel spreadsheet that you could plug your option codes in and use to print a "replica" sticker. The only drawback would be the quality of paper and ink.

If you can scan a sticker, do it at 600 dpi!

I have the same problem with my GN its starting to really bug me
I have one I can scan, I am swamped with work right now though give me a week or so to cut it off the deck lid I have.
I will post it, or e-mail you with it so you can make the spread sheet and help everyone out we apreciate it.
If you could send me a copy of the spread sheet program to me in exchange for the RPO sticker to make the sheet that would be awsome.....Thanks Again I'll be in touch.

That would be the plan - I'll post a copy of the "XLS" on my web site for anyone to download. But, like you, it may take awhile :( as time is a problem here too...

Hi,
Please post back to this site if you do get it scanned for download as I need to replace mine as well. This is a great idea. I'm the 2nd owner and purchased the car in 88 and the first owner thought it was cool to remove all stickers and emblems to have an all black car:mad: Idiot!! Thanks in advance.

If you get a good scan, could you send it my way. I'm also looking for the tags from the drivers door.

S10xGN: I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO CUTTING IT OUT AND SCANNING THE RPO STICKER. I WILL BE E-MAILING IT TO YOU SHORTLY. LET ME KNOW HOW ITS GOING WITH IT, WHEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO START ON IT.

GREAT! :D

When you scan it, please set your DPI to 600 and save as a compressed TIFF. The file should be around 2 megs or so...

Thanks!

Well so far I've got 1 (yes O-N-E) scanned RPO sticker to work from, so it's going pretty darn slow. It's an '87 sticker so I guess if I can print it, I'll only be doing stickers for '87 model cars...

Russ thanks again for doing this....... I need an 87 stricker let me know the costs and the info you need to make me one for my 87 GN...........Thanks :)

Russ,
I'll also need an 87 sticker. Please also let me know what you need from me (payment and an options checklist, etc.). Thanks again for taking this on.

You'll need to send the exact codes you'll want to see on the label, as I have no idea what combination of codes go with what option packages. I was going to do a spreadsheet, but there are too many combinations of option packages for me to get a handle on. I'm working seven 12 hr shifts a week through Feb and I'm WAY behind on getting the necesary things done (I have my printer, but no time to set it up) so it'll be a while...

Russ, just let me know when you get everything set up & have time to make me one. I understand being busy i was working those hours over the summer/fall.......Thanks, Ed

Guys!

I just bought a Roland PC-600 vinyl print/cut machine. I am now able to reproduce the emissions label that goes on the A/C box. They come out PERFECT except for the gloss (factory sticker is matte). I'm going to do the "Harrison" A/C sticker next, then after I get familiar with this machine, I'll be doing the RPO stickers. The only problem I can see is the RPO stickers appear to be printed on matte paper - would a glossy vinyl be OK? Maybe they could be sprayed with a matte Krylon or something...

If you want RPO's repopped, send me your info! I'll need the exact codes you'll want to see on the sticker.

Oh, and $20.00 each for the emissions stickers. :D

Later!

I have no idea. I'll post a pic tomorrow of what I have and you can make your decision based on the pic.
