Yeah I know its not a Buick Sorry.

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition with a Mach 1 sound system. The 6 disc changer that came with it is now dead. I am told one of the screws that moves the platform up and down is broken.

A new one from Ford is $800. A remanufactured one is $500.

An aftermarket unit is less, $300 or so, but because of the wiring used in the system it will cost $250 in labor to do it. Every speaker has its own amp so all the wiring is just a signal to the speakers instead of positive/negative wiring.

Any ideas where I can find a 6 disc changer that will not cost $500 bucks?

A Ford parts hook up would be great right about now.........

Thanks

You can go with a CD deck with like 6-10 disc changer that will cost you about $600. The factory wiring should be fairly easy all you need to purchase an adapter that will work with the stock amplifier.
