Need some advice - Noise Ordinance

Here is the situation;
My neighbor (in the back) has dogs (3) who she lets live outside in the rain and cold. One is on a chain. (I think she is breading the dogs). I feel bad for the dogs.

The dogs bark all night at times and always on/off during the night.
After about 6 -8 months of this, I am close to the end of my rope . Called the animal control (4 times), I had a signed neighborhood petition from all surrounding neighbors for noise ordinance enforcement, contacted the police, contacted the neighborhood association, contacted the owner, etc. No luck.

Last night, we called her 8 times (every time the dogs bark), but I am sure she just disconnected her phone. I feel bad for the dogs since they are really nice but I am not going to give up my nigh sleep for the dogs.

I read where they have an ultrasonic device that makes a noise the dog can hear but we cannot. When the dog barks it sets it off and is really loud to them and will train them not to bark.

Another option is to get a two million candle power spotlight and shine it in their bedroom window everytime the dogs wake you up.

I like that. You can rig it up to light up every time it hears a loud noise. If they complain you can simply say it's part of your security system.

Did the police hear the noise? They should be able to issue a ticket if so. Ive heard of people around me getting a ticket for that BS after a second visit from the police. Call the police till they get tired of responding and they will eventually give them a ticket. Dogs if left outside will bark. They need to have an ordinance that requires them to be in a confined in an insulated enclosure after 10 P.M. That would crack down on the noise. I can relate as my immediate neighbors are a$$holes. I always see that fat bitch peering out the window to see what im doing. Their stupid floodlight is set to turn on with any movement within about 50 ft. Cars driving by sometimes turn it on. I use a 1 million candlepower light to shine at that fat bitch when i see her ugly face in the window. I also put 2 old used toilets on the property line that only they can see to give them a nice view.Currently searching for an old urinal to add to the fire. Do a search on revenge. You will find a lot of fun things to do.

I have a guy that lives two doors down from me and he leaves his dog outside all day and night .and when the dog runs away she comes to my house to play with my dog. which is fine because then shes not barking:biggrin: . but if i were you I would Do the light thing. I am a dog person but i cant stand a barking dog unless someone is tring break in my house. but even then my dog does not bark. he chews:biggrin: they should give those people a tickit . cant texans carry a gun. shoot the owner and bring the dogs home.ha ha

What a site watching those clowns try and pick them blowing pieces of styrofoam up and try to dump them back on my property only to have them blow back onto their property. i saw a judge judy one where the dog kept barking and the judge issued a 5k judgement for the people for having to deal with it,take them to small claims and bring all info you have including a tape of the dog barking and a copy of the time of it happening.....i know this customer i was doing flooring for opened up to me some info that was crazy,i guess after he saw i was.....
he told me the dog next door was sooo bad he had it "removed"then the lady posted pictures all over of the "lost dog"so he put the dogs collor on the door handle with a note that your dog isnt lost...he seemed very pissed about the situation as the lady got another dog and it was barking the whole day i was their,after i told him someone needs to shoot that thing,thats when he told me the story...my sisters dog does it too,as she lives behind me,we got a gate between the yards and the mutt comes over and barks continusly at me while im outside,if someone leaves the gate open,both her other dogs died within a month of each other(wasnt me i promise),i told her they were probably killed,she never had them looked over..its the owners fault for this and they should pay,plain and simple.....

I live out on the highway. I'm sick and tired of seeing dogs walking by the house that were abandoned by schmucks like you guys.

Just about any populated area that I know of with established boundries and a law enforcement jurisdiction has laws about barking dogs. Call animal control and as a last resort the cops. Be a pest if you have to. I'm sure all those envolved would rather have it that way than hear about stories of animal cruelty.

If not, you can contact the Animal Legal Defense Fund | Home (animal legal defense fund) for some legal guidance. They assist in the prosecution of people who violate animal cruelty laws. Cruelty isn't just beatings but other abuse like Psychological abuse where the dogs are kept chained up without the opportunity to burn off some of the pent up energy.

Just a thought. Don't hate the animal- hate the stupid owner.

After the police got tired of responding, and, came in my bedroom to listen to the noise, they went to the neighbor. We could hear them "explaining" the noise issue (loudly I may add ) and, requested a copy of the petition that was signed.

Dogs are nice dogs, owner is the STUPID biatch .

pull your dick out of your dogs ass,im no smuck for 1,and i would never abandon my dog by the hi-way..when i told the guy someone should shoot that dog,i actually didnt mean shoot him,it was said as in shut the fu**er up some how,6 hours of constant barking....as far as my sisters dog,i would never hurt it,but when i went into my yard and had it barking at me,it kinda pissed me off,then it snapped at me and thats when i punched the pit-bull in the face...call the police on me ,is it the owners fault,maybe...but some dogs are just plain stupid..
I watch the animal planet crap,i dont hate animals....i just got a dog and have always raised rotties,but my new dog is a chinese crested show dog that cost me $1800....am i a smuck for paying that?..maybe...am i a smuck for pissing on his head after he pissed in my bed?maybe..but for telling you what some ars did,dont make me a shmuck...but if i had to deal with what he did,would i have done it?maybe...
also if you lived somewhere besides by the hiway(like near someone with a barking dog)then you can talk smack,but untill youve been their...go make love to your dog and tell him you will allways care...lol
