I did some street tuning yesterday to make sure I got a good first pass at the track. I played with my TurboTweak SD chip to get the fueling close.

I was hoping for a little better number but none the less happy.

60' 1.66 launched at 4lbs
1/8 7.11@99.55
1/4 11.06@122.82

There was a good 20MPH headwind as well. I drove the car 75 miles each way to the track on 93,MT DRs and through the full exhaust. The car would have gone 10.90s if it was not for the wind I think. I tried doing a 2nd pass but the tires fried as soon as I let off the brake. I must have been out of the grove. So I called it a day. There was 400+ cars at the track and a few oil downs.

Big Thumbs up for Alkycontrol and TurboTweak.

Congrats Steve, the car does have the MPH for tens no problem. It would have been cool to see your car on the dyno Saturday.

How much boost and timing?

timing was 26.5 1st/2nd gear 22.5 in 3rd.

I maybe would have dynoed it if I could drive it. In case something happens and the alky did not kick on at least I would know it get out of it. Not sure if that shop guy would have known either. I only spent $30 in gas and $25 to race. Still saved $15 over the dyno. :)

Haaaaaaaaaaaaa very true, you are $15 ahead.I know what you mean, I also liked the dyno location but I would let anyone drive my turd . I thought about puting her on but someone else driving it just didn't sit too well with me either.

very nice but its time to step up the tires. i gained 2 tenths 3 mph going to a 275 60 15 mt. once i broke 11's

My buddy has a set of those I could borrow. I wanted to do it on the 275/50/15s. I think it will do 10s with the 275/50s. Then I will try the 275/60s.

I used to have the 275/60s years ago and it hurt my car for some reason running high 11s. But I also like the 275/50s on the street better. The 275/60s made the car feel like a slug on the street. But I will try the 275/60s some day.

i agree my 275 50's were a blast on the street. they hooked alot better but at the track they sucked to mph

My buddy brought them to the track yesterday. I would have tried them but the track was so busy I decided to call it a day. 400+ cars and a few spilled their guts on the track. I will try them next year if I do not get another chance this year.

No, motor is stock except I put in 100 valve springs in 2001. My dad bought the car brand new so I know exactly what was done to it.
