Shake down run on new motor. Run on full weight TTA with 3/4 tank 93..stock oem pistons, crank, rods, hyd cam, weather was 80 degree's.. yeah its Florida. The quest for 9's has begun..

1.523
4.441
6.877
100.78
8.991
10.780
124.93

Boost was 24-25 PSI, AFR was 11.3, timing 23 degree's, MAT was 89

Needs a little more tuning and better weather.. should wake up nicely.

Hey Julio what's the rest of the combo?

http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169181

We had 4 Tr's at the track last nite. My buddy Jack ran 12.00 on his 87, Richie ran 10.80 and Don ran a 10.90.. was an impressive showing considering the heat and humidity last nite  .. .. we've been wrenching on all these cars the last few months together.. glad we all got out in one piece.

I would of gotten more runs in.. just wanted to do the oil filter inspection today to see where things are.. then squeeze some more.

Very nice my friend! Looks like I need to catch up a little. :)

Dude.. your all over that ET.. all you need are some shocks and a visit to the track.. try and make it before they shut the tracks down.. drop me a line sometime let me know how the system is working..

As always its friends like you and others that have us pushing on the bar.. Like Russ.. thats another one..

Surej ran like 10.3 already..

Lets see who's the first 109 block in a 3500+ combo into the 9's on pump gas... .78 and counting...

Does nitrous added count

nice times julio for what you call a shakedown run :D

i noticed you are running those MT radials at 15psi , i was hitting 1.5s at 17psi and then pumped them to 23 psi and still pulled a 1.522 (8# launch) but had gians all through the run and picked up close to 3 mph at trap .

I finnaly wore out the radials and tried the 28" slicks (on both cars) and although they give me faster trap speeds , lower rpms and better pickup from 1/8 to 1/4 they ran slower ET and would need a harder hit to 60' like the shorter radials.

26" radials are going back on and anyone who says you cant hook or run fast on a 16" rim or a 26" tire needs to try the MT radials ,

I agree, the MT radials are pretty bad ass! Julio, post some more specifics of the run...EGT, timing, etc...

I'm in the process of dialing in my ride as I write this. Right now I have the timing at a low 19* in high gear, 11.4:1 A/F throughout the pass, alky at the 12:00, and the boost at 21 psi in 1st and 2nd, 23 psi in 3rd when the TCC locks....EGT's are a cool 1553*:) I'm going to up the boost to 25psi in all gears and mess with timing in high gear once I get the boost where I want it. The motor likes the richer A/F and the meth set just high enough to quell detonation....I'm seeing 118-120 mph with the above tune. Oh BTW, I'm putting the Stage Right trans brake back in, I can't hold more than 3-4 psi without pushing through the lights...even with the $100 rear pads

Nice numbers buddy, keep us posted.

Daaahmn! You pump gas guys are giving the rest of us racers a bad name. Congratulations!

Joe.. mine is running on the Bat brake.. tho I havent been leacving too hard on it.. yet.. kinda scared

Drop me a call sometime.. new stuff out.

Scott.. trying to catch up to you big dawgs at TSM.. Think a 3650 lb 109 block car on drag radials and pump gas can break into the 9's..

We'll see.. neat thing is I dont have to follow TSM class rules

Love this Buick stuff..especially what can be made to happen on junk parts..
