Guys,

A while ago I put 275/60/15 MT DRs on the driver.
The problem was I had springs that were way to low.
Since Super Junk is rotting in the garage I took the springs
out of her to get the driver on the road.
This fixed the driver but left me with no springs on Super Junk
so I could not put it on the ground and move it.
In talking to Dusty he mentioned that you can run coil over
springs in the stock mounting location. He specified the HAL
14-130s for my application with the 28 inch tall tire.
This is what he uses in his close to mid 7 second regal btw.
They are only $37.00 each which is also a bonus!

Anyway.

-Pictures 2&3, Super Junk with the Hal Springs and Firestone 28.5 X 10.5 slicks.

Both sets are on 15X8 Weld Pro Stars with 3.5 inch Back Spacing.
I hate the 3.5 inch bs if anyone cares.

To install these you just jack the car up on the frame and disconnect the lower shock bolts.
The whole process should not take more than 20 minutes start to finish.

Just wondering if the upper frame mount can take all the force on it???

Mark,

That is a good question.
Dusty has been running these for two years in the 5.4-5.0 range in the 1/8.
I am not sold on these being in a driver yet, but for a strip application they will work fine.

John,
Did you have to trim the springs any? Did you use any type of isolator between the frame and spring?

thanks,
Robert

Thanks, John. Any chance of a pic from further out, side profile? You think they're going to settle a bit more? Based on what I'm seeing in your pics, I think I'm going to give the ones we discussed a try. Thanks for sharing helpful information.
