Hey Pacecarta, do the dimensional specs come out to the data DW posted on page 2?
Didn't sound like Racetronix was jumping on board right away so that plug and play connector with his wiring harness might take a while. Are you splicing the universal plug onto the Racetronix ring terminals?
The densities are different,
E85 = 0.77 - 0.79 g/ml (this slightly changes with seasonal blend)
Gas = 0.72 - 0.78 g/ml

I'd like to buy one of these DW pumps,but am doing a little more homework..
Regulator: Will this pump be too much for my 4 month old Accufab regulator?
Electrics: I have a new hotwire kit,still in bag, that I bought before the DW pump became news,but haven't installed it yet because I want to do everything in one shot. Not sure if the part number is the one listed above. I'l have to look.
Mounting: It looks like all I have to do as far as modifications is to grind those tabs of the pump. ?
My tank,pump,wiring,sending unit is all stock right now. From the looks of everything,the tank has never been dropped.
I'm not going to wait for the stock pump to fail. Would really like to go the DW route.

aeromotive already offers theirs with outlets in a couple configs , using the filter like the one i showed they have it with filter forward facing , filter backward facing and filter center with larger opening ring for the 340 style filter and install will be just like the 340 was without needing any mod
if DW follows and makes the center version it will be as easy as doing a 340
as to the electric hookup,the hotwire kits should be fine , the intank walbro connector will plug in.
on mine it just happens to be a brand new hanger setup for stock pump, most have already converted their intank setup for walbros so again its plug and play
the regulator wont be the issue ...the stock return line might but i dont know yet , will know in the next couple days as it will be going on a vehicle this week which has an accufab regulator and stock lines

These are shipping on a mass scale now, not sure about the GN Vendors but I'd assume they are in the loop from DW. 
To those who are coming in late, the DW pump is not the same as the Aeromotive or Jay Racing, those have a 1 year warranty and the DW's a 3 year.

got mine in ,
i did spin the filer a little the spectra bowl was very close to the pump at the rear, used a zip tie around filter and the hanger foot to ensure it wouldnt come off , also zipped the pump to the hanger pipe so it wouldnt move around. the new hanger sender was the hardest part about getting it into the tank but it sqweeked in
for elec hookup I used a walbro to stock adapter from an old kit
i havent checked with engine running (still on the lift ) but with the aeromotive regulator and stock lines i had no problem dropping to 35psi and with regulator cranked up I pinned 100psi for a sec before i backed it off where it held 80 fine and steady ,

DW, can you post the current GN Vendors that are carrying this pump?

Just installed DW300. I have one with the offcenter filter, so I had to trim the bottom holder on the sender to fit right, but I'm sure the center style will drop in fine. I replaced all wiring with Racetronix stuff to handle the extra amps. It uses all the same wiring as a Walbro (unlike the Aeromotive 340 which has the polarity backwards).
Very quiet, almost can't hear it run.
Fuel pressure won't drop below 47psi ever, line on, line off, doesn't matter, so it looks like more work will be involved. Definitely overwhelming the stock return system. If you unplug the alternator to drop voltage to ~12v, it will drop to around 36psi. I know a bigger return line will fix it, but I'm going to try to drill out the regulator just to see what happens.

Interesting that it is not a straight "drop in".
i put in a denso last year and wonder how this compares to it. The denso required mod'ing the hanger too.

For posterity:
I drilled out the regulator orifice to .218" (was around .180"), and it did not make any difference at all. Had to try it.
So, it looks like the options are bigger return line, or do something electrically to slow the pump down at low load as Bob B. is suggesting (less fuel heating this way).

I guess Eric your findings aren't too surprising after viewing what it flows at 40psi vs the Walbros and then the Racetronix kit adds even more volts. 
Good news, it plugs right into the stock connector, is quiet and appears the on center version won't need any base trimming.
Other good news, another good thing about being a chip tweaker is you can work around the 47psi vacuum on pressure. :biggrin:

There are 2 paths we are investigating.
Reducing the return line restriction
Reducing the pump speed at idle and cruise
It isn't a huge deal, we just need to figure out the best way to do it.
Once the snow leaves, I plan to get one and work on this issue personally.
