Well, I ordered one from PartsAmerica.com, and I got a confirmation e-mail. Then I got another saying that they were happy to tell me that they found a replacement part for the one that was unavailable from Standard. This one was the Niehoff brand and to let them know if it was acceptable. According to the picture that it was linked to, it is only the cap. I emailed back and said that it was not. They emailed back and said too late it is already on it's way, and to refuse shipment if I could. If not, then they would just send me a call tag to get it picked up. I tell ya, they may not have the part that I wanted, but their service is pretty good. And they ship quickly.

Just an FYI.

FWIW & IMHO:
If I had shipped less than half of the product that the customer expected/was led to believe was being shipped, I'd have damn good customer service, too. They also showed another brand in their catalogue as late as last night at a little more money that was the complete assy. Why didn't they offer to ship you that one.

I was able to order PC16 from the local advance auto store, same price as the website...tried to push the neihoff thing on me too..see what happens monday or tuesday when i pick it up at the store !!

Well, here is an update on my getting a cam sensor. I got the wrong part that they thought was an acceptable replacement, and returned it. (See above) They credited me immediately.......minus shipping. Since it was a part that they chose to send me, and I told them not to, I figured I shouldn't have to pay shipping, so I emailed their customer support line. No response. So, I waited until it was 28 days after they charged my card, and called them. They credited my card that day for the shipping and apologized for the mix up. I then ordered two from discount auto, and they sent me an email saying they would go out immediately. Then I got another saying they were on back order, but that they were getting a shipment in on the 16th....of MAY. Still haven't gotten them. Well, I didn't want to wait, so I went to the autoparts store in town that stocks GM parts. They had two GM units on the shelf. From the looks of it, the one he pulled had been there since 87. Guess how much. Go on, guess. $357!! I told him to put it back. I then went to partsamerica.com again, and this time I ordered the one from GP Sorenson part#GPSCSS16. It cost a bit more, but at least I got one. That came today. So, if anyone wants a brand new genuine GM unit, I can get you one for $400+shipping. :)
