So far, so good.

I've got over a dozen low eleven second passes at the strip (maybe even more on the street;) ) and sealed perfect. I've gone through two sets of Felpro's in the last year. So far they've out lived my last set of Felpros.

Are they better? I'd say YES!

How much better? only time will tell.

I'd say get em.

Am I the only one who has good luck with felpro 1400's? Just pulled the headers off and plain to put new ones back on.

I have bridgeported my headers twice and went thru 3 sets of fel pros, and 2 sets of copper.

I havent put the car back together yet , so ill have to wait until spring to let you all know.

Having the headers recoated. I have 40 to 50 passes on those gaskets and looked like I just put them on. Maybe I have just been lucky? But I will let you know if they blow out next season.

These things rock

Just took my motor apart for a cam swap and major freshen-up. I realized that I had forgoten to tighten one of the lower center header bolts. Funny thing is though, the thing still DID NOT LEAK! This is after at least 30 eleven second passes, a dozon dyno pulls, and a bolt missing.

I'm sold!

How about RJC's header gaskets? Any good?
I just ordered a set of RJC's the other day....wish this post was up then.

I bought a set of these. The rjc gaskets would prob. work if your putting the headers on an engine that's out of the car, but I tried to install them in the car and destroyed them. They are frail.

WE have a member in our SW Fl Turbo Buick club (He also is a member of this board) that has his torn apart because in his words " The Remflex blew out" His computer was down and I dont know if its back up yet but he has spent the last two days taking it apart and putting copper back on. He said he wont run them again. Belive it was the flange gasket... Rick

I had coppers and they keep blowing out. The remflexs are good to 2000 psi. If his flange wasnt true, anything will blow out.

Dont know, Im just passing this along. But I am setting here with a sample of the remflex in my hand and I can see how it could blow out if it wasnt compressed enough, there is only one thin layer of fabric inside the rest will just crumble between your fingers when not compressed.

Yes they are a crumbly type of compressible graphite. I will warn about over tightening however. I did and they broke that way. The company had NO qualms about sending me another set. I didn't over tighten, and they have worked for over a year now, daily driven and I'm on the gas ALL the time, I'm 21...

If you overcompress them, they will crack. I'm told (by Remflex) thats the only way to kill one. So, torque them as you'd torque a head gasket, and 20 ft. lbs. torque max.

It'll be very interesting to see how these Remflex gaskets work out for us Buick guys. I hope they work. We need some good gaskets.

I was doing a little research for a friend. This is what I found.

I am not sure if they are better then any other good gasket out there, ie: copper, rjc etc. I was out at the track with a buddy two weeks ago when the rear passenger side blew out bad on a set of Remflex gaskets. Stock headers and they were installed correctly. A large section of the gasket was missing causing a massive exhaust leak. It blew at the 100' mark on what was going to be a low 11's pass, it was so bad we did not know if we hurt the motor and had it towed home to inspect the damage.
