Sam lemme run one other "stupid" little thing that can raise hell with ya...torque converter bolts....takes 10 min to check...GOOD LUCK!!!!

I saw no one mention checking for a balooned converter. That will wipe a thrust bearing/crank in no time.

When you unbolted the converter, how far idid it push back into the trans, and when the motor was out, did you happen to notice if there were bolt head marks in the face of the converter?

told him in the other thread to check the thrust....he's disgusted now so it will take awhile, I think

Torque convertor bolts will usually rattle all the time, but I did check them. It has always engaged properly, with no force and with proper gap between flexplate and conv. Buick Beginner, thanks, hopefully it never gets to that point, but I don't worry bout that stuff too much cuz my grandpas a lawyer, so if it did get ugly, I'd do ok. I'm still so mad I don't know what to do. The builder gave me his clearances, and they sound right. AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
