Anybody out there running a new precision turbo with the bullet holes to eliminate the boost stack? What kind of conditions/boost levels caused it in your car with the old turbo and is it now completely gone all else equal with the new style housing?

Thank you!

What the hell is 'boost stack"? If it's what I think you are talking about, it's called compressor surge... and it's caused by the turbo compressor operating outside it's engineered range on the flow map (pressure(ratio) vs. flow)... simple pump/compressor physics.... where does this 'stack' terminology come from... because it's misleading and doesn't make sense...

Or do you mean a ported shroud? The one with the holes on the compressor side?

I take it to mean the new 'port shrouded' turbo inlets to avoid 'compressor surge'....

So since we're all on the same page now, any answers to the question re: personal experience from old turbo to new style with the anti-compressor surge design?
