New Project Car

Just picked up a project car. It does everything pretty good, butt dyno says low 12's but so far the fastest bone stock time posted is 11.8x.

only work out I have been getting is 12 oz. curls. but thanks. Marianne told me to get a Z06 until she found out they only came stick shift and even then she said go ahaed but she would not drive it, (she can drive a stick she used to race her brothers 69 4sp Mach 1 in fact) So SHE sugested a coupe with an auto and maybe a Procharger to make up the difference. I love my wife. So far the name is Yellow Fever but we are still thinking. Thise seats would go in a GN but you woudl not see over the wheel

The new LS3 with 436HP is impressive for the base model. Sounds like modding the base model with the $$$ saved on the Z06 is the better option. Then you can get a removalbe roof too.

Mike, I have question, it always seems that the cars back there run quicker than here in Boise, does 2500Ft. make that much of a difference??, I went to the track May 2nd witha friend who has a 07 with a auto, long tubes and intake kit only, et's were in the 13.1x range @110-111 mph, there also was a guy who had a new 08 with auto and running the same times and his was totally stock, just asking why the big diff!!, now the 60ft times do not show
good but the mph is there, what was your mph if I may ask.

I have not run mine yet still using butt dyno but I have had enough cars to tell what they will run. My SRT8 went 12.86 and this thing is a TON faster, I know that for sure. The 08's seem to be quite a bit faster with the LS3. A quick trip to Corvette Forum has quite a few guys in the low 12's with 08's right off the showroom floor. A couple claim 11's. It takes a bit to launch these cars I have been told. Mine does not even have 100 miles yet so when I get some more seat time and master the launch/paddle shifters I will take it to the track and see whats up.

Very nice. The only thing I can't get into on those cars is the way the inside of the headlight is the same color as the car, just can't get used to it.

Enjoy it. Don't forget to play with the Buick every once in a while.
