Let me know what you have shipped to 63366.

Thanks

your local parts store should have 1 probably under $25. i have had to buy 2 of them for my cars in the last few years

Thanks for the reply. Was this cable for a GN or a TTA? I have been told the aftermarket cables don't fit well.

I "supposedly" got the last GM one a month ago . So put them on the endangered species list

shifter cable

I have one from carquest and a new gm one. I am putting the new gm one in. I bought the carquest one first then I found out the chevy dealership I work for had a new one, so I bought it. pm me if you are interested.

I got the Advanced auto shift cable. It's okay but OEM would have been better. The first one was worng, they listed it under a Grand National but the first cable was wrong. The second cable was listed under Grand National but has a note of 200r4 trans. Well I told the guy they all had 200r4's but let's try it and it wound up being correct. I have noticed at times the shifter doesn't lock in park well. I use the part brake now to be safe. if you can find an OEM do it.

sounds like there may be a slight diffrence in length.what you need to is adjust the rod on the steering column that goes down to the transmission and this will make the necessary adjustment that way it will lock in park.

Good point I didn't think of that. I found the arm to that rod bent, must have done it pulling the engine back in 03. I bent it back in place but it must be out of adjustment. Here I am blaming the shift cable and it was something I screwed up. Thanks for the heads up!

In that case I guess the cable is fine, just be careful to get the right one if you go to Advanced.
