So the conclusion is what cuz I'm not sure???????????
Brians intercooler is made in the USA or its not???

Yes it is. Sad part is I woke up this morning & said screw it. I'm sending everything to China we have. I'll offer 2 versions made in USA & made in China.
You'll get a $500 IC. You will have to make the mods necessary to work no returns. I get e-mails all the time from China we can build your this & that. I guess I'll start returning them. Customers want options well you'll have them.

Brian you know I have spent $$$ with you many times & never a problem!! I dinnt ask to be a duck, but was confused?? I know thats easy for me!! :)
I think offering Both would be a GREAT Idea!!
Hope it works out well for the penny pinchers but we all know that sometimes whats cheaper is NOT Better! I dont care where its made unless its from Canada!! Otherwise Fug It!!
Cheers!!!

The Mease unit is a copy of the 24 row BGC cause he personally took the measurements off of my BGC unit but added a ricer core-maybe from china that only cost under $300. at the time. Then i had him modify my BGC with newly styled mounting brackets- i guess my BGC 24 row should be in high demand after all these chinese ones start blowing out at the seams!

And sadly, its going to get worse before it gets better.. if it ever gets better.

All these knock off artists are in this to make a buck off of the Buick guys and when the market is bled dry, they'll move on to another one.

Yup!

Guess others are starting to feel like TA felt when the headers first came out. I agree that it will probably get worse before it gets better.

It seems like to me the American people want to make all the bucks when it comes to providing parts for Buicks. I don't think the Chevy guys fuss too much about having a saturated "parts" market.

Speaking about non paying vendors, I think that if a vendor isn't a paying vendor of this site they shouldn't advertise their product under false identities.

Lastly, I don't care who makes the parts....China, USA or if it's under your shade tree in the back yard, ;) I'm the one who chooses to buy a particular brand with what I can afford. Hell, if I was a rich person you think I'd be driving a 78 Malibu...heck no!:p

I guess at this particular point, Does it really matter? I think he's a very stand up guy and he gives you a 100% completely satisfied guarantee! So if it bust, he'll replace it... Who cares where it's from... What matters is if you have someone that will stand behind there product! - That's the most important thing! There are some companies here in the US and China that won't do that... We're very fortunate atleast he does!

Who cares where it's from? Apparently, most people on this thread.

Now that we know some of Brian's stuff is made in China I hope we can move on from the origin of the pieces of equipment and concentrate, moving forward, on who has the best QC and who will stand behind their product - no matter where it is made. Some on this thread have indicated they will "never" by Chinese parts. Although that is a poignant and well-meaning statement, 5 years from now every single aftermarket part for our cars will be made in China. The handwriting is on the wall. I guess people better start stocking up on American made parts now.

On an aside...if GBody's intercoolers have been made in China for some time it forces me to ponder some tough questions...

How much of a problem, if at all, should we have with a vendor who claims a product of his is made in America and charges a premium price for it only to find out the product is actually made in China? Should we demand a full disclosure of what other products of their's are actually made in China? Should we be upset and disillusioned at what some could consider price gouging of fellow board members? What do we expect out of our supporting vendors? Is this more or less of an offense than signing up under different board aliases to hawk poducts? Should the admins consider a ban or suspensions for vendors who break our faith?

Tough questions all. I do not have the answers for them and I have been nearly around long enough to have a historical perspective, but I feel these questions need to be asked. I trust this boards vendors a great deal more than I do of retaliers of other commodities I purchase, therefore I hold them...fairly or otherwise...to a higher standard.

What should happen here? members? admins?

Hell, if I was a rich person you think I'd be driving a 78 Malibu...heck no!:p

ummm I think your Malibu is a step or to above my Mazda :p hey have to add some humor in here ... this stuff is getting crazy

The problem with selling both (speaking from experience of a family business) is that when they chose the inferior product because of cost, part of the cut in cost is cutting out warranty. And some people don't realize this, so they get pissy about the lack of warranty on the cheaper part and start giving a bad name for the business owner because of their own mistake in oppting for the cheaper price. If a person is going to pay the cheaper price product (no matter where it is made) they need to pay attention to everything they are buying; product quality, warranty, customer support/service, and personal help tailored to what you need. Those items are in shorter in supply the cheaper you go, usually.

I believe he was banned, you have to go to the "other board" to see him.

I am a strong believer in American made parts and only will run those..

But, I do not have a family or kids and can spend my money like its going out of style:eek:

But for somebody on a tight budget , with a family and kids or very young ie.. under 30 years old.. Im a old man (37years old:wink: ) the China stuff is a perfect alternative for them.

Plus you can't knock the Vendors.. they need to make money as well... lights and rent are expensive..

If you don't want China , don't buy it.. but don't complain when you start peeling back the green on the good stuff!:)

His first identity, HBOOST was banned a while ago so he created this alias, which was also banned.

You can head over to the other site to hear his infomercial.

I know it seems like this is just something that started happening recently, but if you do some research in regards to how long other manufactures even some of the old header producers you'll realize that they have been doing it since 2000. Sad part is people are just being previewed to it and are realizing that some of the pre-modona's that were selling products have been making so much more money in the past and since we never new about it, it was OK. How many hundred of thousands of dollars of profit did the old guys make? Nobody ever questioned it back then, yet there problems that we encounter today still existed back then... It's only since the creation of the internet that people have become Aware of what's going on. Actually the prices have gotten better as time has progressed because compettion has caused vendors to become more competitive.

If you need some sort of affirmation in regards to what i'm talking about, google a search on chinese steel production and you'll find the truth to what I'm talking about!

With Awareness being Key Word I have 2 Words of my Own Regarding China:

Lead
Quality

It sucks that so much of our stuff is outsourced to China, but it's unevitable. I can't even buy a pair of good ole American Workboots from Sears that aren't made in China anymore. But it's nearly impossible now. Everyone's farmed out their work.

But Intercoolers too now? C'mon!! Shall we buy cars from China now too??

Here's my Serious Question:
Who makes a Great Intercooler Made in America? Precision? I'd rather pay more to have Made In USA if it's at all possible anymore.... Is it?????

Hey Guys!

I just talked to my supplier and I got the first prototype full GN from China. Now some of you might be skeptical but once we work the bugs out such as um the scale of this car for one thing, not to mention bad welds on frame and also tires.
Once I cut hole in the roof and figure out a way to squeeze 6ft of me into this, I'll take it for test drive and let you all know. I figure price will be around...hmmmm lemme see my cost 400 bucks plus 10,000% markup..um well you do the math.
