Wondering how much aggravation is involved with engine in car. Fwiw , turbo is off.. steering shaft and crossover off too. Also, the OEM stud/bolts have been off a few times.

It's not bad if you have a lift . Never done it with out ...anyone else ??

I removed my stockers, welded them up, wrapped them and reinstalled them with just the front up on jack stands.
I did the same with ATR headers as well, but that was in the early ’90’s.
I remember taking the alternator and other brackets off from the top and maybe the top row of bolts. It seems I did everything else from the bottom as well as removing them from the bottom, but it’s been a while.

I also installed mine without a lift.
Like mentioned above , Jack stands needed as most of the removal & installation was done under the car .
I recall lowering it to snug up a couple of the bolts which I couldn’t easily reach from below & was easier from the top

I did mine no lift. Installed both sides left all hardware a bit loose & attached crossovers from under the car & tightened up the "V"-band clamps.

I can get to all of the header hardware short of the "V"-band clamps from the topside.

A lift is available .. but its an hour away and job would be rushed. Almost looking forward to it now,,almost. Bolts by the heater box looks pretty tough but under the car will give a different perspective. Thanks for all the tips. I Keep going back and forth about ceramic coating them...a local shop has done a few cycle exhausts for me. Around $300. for these im sure. Now if this foot of ice around the house will ever melt.

Don't overthink it. You have the turbo & steering shaft off. More access there. As I've stated, ya can get all of the hardware short of "V"-bands on from the topside. If needed, ya can access the header bolts for #4 & #6 from the bottom. Just keep hardware loose so ya have some "wiggle" in the exhaust.

I just picked up my downpipe & wastegate dump pipe from SwainTech . I had it coated with White Lightning to match the rest of the exhaust system . The headers , crossover & old downpipe were coated 9 yrs ago and still look good . I painted them aluminum/silver VHT high temp to change the from the only color they come ....white . It takes hold of the paint great as the surface is similar to a primer texture .

Is your crossover pipe a 2-piece?
