They're shutting down the track in Muncie Indiana for the winter in a week or 2 so my brother made his last outing of the season. This was only the 3rd or 4th time to the track with his new combo and he's still dialing it it.
Best run of the night was 10.24 @ 132.5 with a 1.48 60', and was somewhere in the 6.5-6.6 in the 1/8th at 105-106mph. He wanted to hit a 9 before the end of the season, but didn't quite get there. This was on 26-27 lbs of boost, so there's still 5-6 lbs of boost still to go. He has the Extender Extreme chip and the translator plus for tuning. The car is still running pretty rich in the high 9:1 very low 10:1 o2 readings on the WB. The 9" slick has too soft of a sidewall and the rear suspension bottoms out on lauch, so there is some tweaking needed to be done in the rear. He has the HR bar, but the springs/shocks are too soft.
At least this gives him something to shoot for next year. Again, big thanks to Lonnie Diers for all his help with the motor and trans as well as the countless hours on the phone. Customer service is top notch with Lonnie. I think the block my brother has was the original motor in Lonnie's GN, so Lonnie looks at it like his baby.
