They're from my daily driver '03 Cobra.
Soooo...if you're p*ssed off about Cobras or their owners (even though I've got a fairly stout turbo-T), just click the "Back" button now.
I got down to Atco last Thurday for some passes. Weather was decent, not as cool as I was hoping, but decent.
First pass, after a 45 minute cooldown.
Conditions were only on the 1st slip, and were 76*, 44% relative humidity and 29.25" baro. Car is bone stock with a removed silencer.
Best run last week was 13.1@110.82 on a 2.1 short time in worse air (actually, crummy air...probably a 2000' DA).
Anyway...
First pass
60' 2.097
330' 5.574
1/8 8.411
mph 87.45
1/4 12.859
mph 111.62
Still bogged on the launch, 1-2 and 2-3 were crisp, no wheelhop.
I gave the car about a 30-minute cooldown and threw a bag of ice on the blower and went back to the lanes...
Second pass
60' 1.956
330' 5.408
1/8 8.229
mph 87.74
1/4 12.665
mph 111.73
Launch was smooth with a slight bog, no wheelhop.
After this, things went to sh*t. I was trying to help a buddy in his '86 GT get down his burnout technique, and watched the next round. After he ran, I jumped in the lanes, but they finished pulling the street cars. Then the index racers oiled down the track, and it was over two hours before street cars got another pass.
The car was nice and cool, but I spun on the launch and blew it.
Third pass
60' 2.166
330' 5.625
1/8 8.456
mph 87.63
1/4 12.890
mph 111.81
I fully believe I can get a 12.4 out of it, just as it sits. Not one ounce of weight was removed from the car. I had a change of clothes in a duffle bag and my briefcase from work in the trunk and half a tank of fuel. Tire pressure was 32psi at all fours. I imagine in better air (40-50*, lower humidity, 30"+ baro) it'll run over 113mph.
I'm not sure it'll stay stock that long.
