I just recently bought my first GN a week ago with 28K miles from original owner. Everything is pretty much stock except for Adjustable Wastegate (18 boost), Ram Air kit, Stainless steel exhaust and some chrome engine parts. Couple concerncs though. The car pulls good but I'm not feeling a firm 1st to 2nd shift or 2nd to 3rd shift. It barely feels like a shift at all but car pulls hard.

Is this a indication of a tranny going bad or already toasted. Also why wont the annoying seatbelt light go out even when seatbelts are on. Thanks for any help or advice.

Any Columbus,Ohio Owners out there

I made the adjustment on the TV cable and the car shifts firm just cruising, I mean hard. Then at WOT no hard shift at all from 1-2 or 2-3. Any Help. Anyone in columbus, ohio anyone can recommend for transmission that are familiar with GN's

Thanks

From what I've read (claiming no expert status): If the tranny juice is still clear-- not cloudy, gray or burned smelling-- a good shift kit should help the 'go soft at full throttle' syndrome.

Don't worry about your tranny! I just bought a mint, 11K mile GN this spring. It was bone stock when I got it. The tranny was so smooth it felt like only 1 gear! Couldn't really feel the shifts. Thats how the factory designed them....so grandma wouldn't complain! If you want firmer shifts...like I did....install a shift kit. You could also put in a bigger servo. Also, just replacing the fluid with Type-F might help too.

Thanks for the replies:

ANDYS87: Thats good to hear, I adjusted the TV cable again it shifts hard just cruising but also sound like the tranny is kinda reving to high before shifting. So i'm going to adjust back since this seems to be common, before i break something
