SignUp Now!the radiator trans cooler cannot be used as a engine oil cooler
Something to ponder, here. What oil temperature do Nascar teams REGULATE their oil temps to? Have fun searching.![]()
why not? i had a aluminum radiator with a built in tranny cooler.. i ran the oil lines to the tranny cooler and had a external trans cooler. ran fine. it was my daily driver.
but ive changed my setup now, and got rid of the oil cooler all together and its fine.
oil coolers are over rated and un-needed. i look at it as one more thing that can cause a leak/problem.
heres why not to use the in rad trans cooler
try pushing oil through a 5/16 line your motor will suffer oil supply problems at every startup and even worse at speed , will be worse when oil is cold
